POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Trainer will play a critical role in developing and enhancing the sales competencies of our sales team across the ANZ region. This position is responsible for delivering quarterly sales competency training and providing ongoing coaching through shadowing and supporting sales calls. The trainer will work closely with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and the VP of Sales to develop tailored sales skills pathways, ensuring that our team is equipped to meet and exceed performance goals.

IDEAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Proven experience in sales training and coaching, preferably in the cloud software or technology industry (SaaS preferred).
  • Previous experience in B2B sales is essential.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and strategies, with the ability to tailor training programs to different sales roles and levels of experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse sales team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with the ANZ market and experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Competency Training: Deliver comprehensive sales competency training sessions on a quarterly basis, ensuring that all sales team members are up-to-date with the latest sales techniques, product knowledge, and market trends.
  • Sales Call Shadowing and Coaching: Spend each day shadowing sales calls across the entire sales team, turning these into coaching opportunities. Set up sales coaching calls, including time for pre-meeting planning and post-meeting debriefs to reinforce learning and skill development.
  • Support RSMs and VP of Sales: Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and the VP of Sales to create and implement sales skills development pathways for individual sales team members, helping them achieve their targets and grow professionally.
  • Performance Evaluation: Regularly assess the effectiveness of sales training programs and coaching sessions, providing feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Commission Structure: The role will include a commission structure tied to Pax8’s overall profitability and growth goals for the ANZ region, incentivizing the trainer to align training outcomes with business success.
