Description:

UCSF is seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer with a deep understanding of the Marketing Cloud platform and a proven ability to apply theory and put it into practice. This position will play a key role in the design, building, testing, and implementation of our patient and provider communications systems, using the latest technology from Salesforce, including Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Healthcloud and other applications.
The successful candidate will offer broad job knowledge, an ability to independently perform the full range of responsibilities within the function, and a knack for analyzing diverse problems or issues. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members to support the Marketing Cloud platform and marketing email operations.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $97,948 - $180,027 (Annual Rate).

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Clinical Systems and Health Informatics are responsible for all aspects of the clinical and business software applications of UCSF Health hospitals, practices, affiliates, and community partners. This includes the Electronic Health Record (APeX), which supports the clinical, revenue cycle, and clinical operational functions of the health system and its affiliates, and approximately 95 other software applications involved in patient care and operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Marketing Cloud Email Specialist / Developer or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for email templates and cloud page development and customization.
  • In-depth understanding and application of Salesforce Marketing Cloud technical skills, including technical configuration, AMP script, cloud pages, automation, journeys, email templates development, and platform configurations
  • Strong problem-resolution skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems, and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively, train, support, and work collaboratively with users of clinical information systems at all professional and technical levels.
  • Detail-oriented, with proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and see projects through to completion on deadline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information and instructions to all levels of clinical applications users in a specific, clear, and concise manner.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting, with the ability to design and execute tests, analyze system and email performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses.
  • Ability to work with senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with synchronized data extensions.
