We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Brand General Manager to lead our brand to new heights.
Reporting directly to the CEO of the Oberalp Group, the Brand General Manager will oversee Marketing, Design, and Product Management, with responsibility across multiple product categories, including apparel, footwear, and technical equipment. This role requires a strategic leader with deep brand management experience and a passion for the outdoors. The goal is to enhance Salewa’s brand positioning, profitability, and market share on a global scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Brand Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies and continuously adapt the positioning to drive growth, increase market share, and enhance brand equity.
  • Product Management: Identify and drive opportunities through analysis of trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities. Oversee product management across all categories, ensuring alignment with market trends, effective pricing, and profitability.
  • Product Design: Ensure a clear design strategy for creating sustainable, progressive, and iconic products in all Salewa-relevant categories to make the brand relevant for future generations.
  • Marketing Leadership: Formulate and execute marketing strategies that align with the brand’s vision and business goals. Ensure the creation of relevant Brand content, campaigns, and communication tools, manage the overall marketing budget and guarantee consistent brand messaging across all channels and in international markets. Work with regional teams to adapt strategies to local needs.Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team in marketing, design, and product management. Establish performance metrics and lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team (Sales, Operations, Finance, etc.) to align brand and marketing strategies with Oberalp’s business goals.
