Description:
Summary: Associate will be responsible for and involved with loading and unloading of salvage, plastic pallet, wood and chep trailers. Associate will be responsible for dock sanitation at the end of shift. Associate must be able to safely and efficiently operate a pallet jack, sit down and stand up forklift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Move levers and press dead man pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
- Position forks under, over, or around loaded pallets, boxes, products, or materials, and transports load to designated area.
- Unload and stack product by raising and lowering lifting device.
- Load or unload materials (milk & egg crates, cardboard & plastic, load bars, pallets, shelving, etc.) onto or off trailers
- Separate salvage items to be delivered to appropriate locations
- Keep work area clean and clear of debris.
- Bail cardboard and plastic
- Cross training may be required
- Follow company’s policies and procedures.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.
Math Ability:

Must pass forklift certification
