To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join SOCOTEC’s Renewable Energy team who are among the leaders in the renewables field. We are on hand to ensure the compliance, safety and optimisation of your renewable energy resource throughout the entire project life cycle. Our Environmental Science team is committed to supporting all aspects of renewable energy resource project, from the design and construction phase to the decommissioning of your asset.

Client focused and quality driven, we are the leading UK provider of sampling, sample preparation and testing services to the Energy and Fuel Supply industries. Now we need a Sampling and Sample Preparation Technician to join our multi-disciplinary team providing these services from our facility near Selby, North Yorkshire.

• Collect samples from client sites, including UK ports and Power Stations including Drax.
• Undertake sample preparation and testing of solid fuel samples, in line with specific UKAS accredited methods and procedures.
• Follow ISO compliant sampling, sample preparation and testing methods of solid fuels.
• Work safely in accordance with SOCOTEC task risk assessments and method statements.
• Complete CCNSG Safety Passport and IOSHH Working Safely courses in order to comply with client site requirements (Paid for by SOCOTEC).
• No prior experience necessary as full training will be offered to the right candidate.
