Responsibilities:

We have a vacancy in Sample reception for a Sample Receipt Administrator working on the Hatch.
Main Duties: After training to include, but not be restricted to, the following duties: 1. To be competent with the process of receiving samples from couriers and other 3rd party carriers. 2. To be competent with the HSL/TDL work received and the handling of urgent samples and the urgent pathway. 3. To be competent with the Laboratory Tracking system, DA Software and other Databases. 4. To be competent with the operation of the dumbwaiters and trouble shooting. 5. After training and competency assessment be able to receive, identify, prepare and despatch all samples to correct HSL/TDL departments maintaining an accurate log, using the sample tracker system and other databases. 6. To be competent with the identification of urgent, frozen and any samples requiring special handling. 7. To be competent with the sorting and triaging of both HSL and TDL work. 8. To be competent with the email and telephone systems. 9. To maintain a clean and tidy area at the hatch and complete, scan and archive sample shipment notifications appropriately and accurately. 10. To be aware of General Data Protection Regulations and how it impacts your work.
