We are a team of highly skilled and trained scientists who work from purpose-built, UKAS accredited laboratories in Sittingbourne, Slough and Manchester.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
The Sample Receipt Technician will work together with the Laboratory Team in Slough to enable water testing to specific SOP’s and ensure all quality control procedures are followed to ensure the validity of results. The individual should have enthusiasm for science and wish to develop technically to understand heating and chilled water systems. The Scheduler will play an active part in ensuring the highest quality of service to clients. The role will involve extensive use of the company LIMS system to allocate testing schedules to samples received.
Working hours: Full Time Position – Tuesday – Saturday 5am – 1:30pm
Working style: Onsite, lab based.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Sample Receipt Technician is responsible for ensuring that all samples received in the laboratory are correctly recorded and accurately allocated testing to specified client requirements within the appropriate time frame through the use of the LIMS system.
- The Sample Receipt Technician will assist in maintaining the laboratory accreditation to ISO 17025.
- Apply health and safety and quality standards as required by the Company, statutory legislation and external customer requirements.
- To ensure that all customer contractual terms are met, and that laboratory processes comply with quality standards implemented.
- Promote best practice throughout the laboratory, in terms of quality driven laboratory production.
- To carry out any reasonable duties as specified by the line manager
