Roy Morgan is Australia’s best known and longest established market research company, with an unparalleled reputation for reliable, accurate, meaningful, revealing market research. This role will lead the day to day management, allocation and re-allocation of the sample for both the main and dress rehearsal phases of HILDA, as well as sample management for other large customised projects in support and as directed by the Project Manager - Sample and Systems.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Oversee and maintain a high quality and efficient Sample Team in collaboration with the Project Manager - Sample and Systems and other stakeholders;
  • Allocate daily tasks to Sample Officers, oversee their completion and provide guidance and advice as required;
  • Assist in reviewing all sample allocations to ensure maximum sample distribution to field and response rate is maximised with the aim to surpass the HILDA target of 95% Previous Wave Respondent response rate;
  • Ensure that the core processes related to the maintenance, allocation and re-allocation of the sample are fully documented and followed;
  • Prepare any sample reports for the client as required;
  • Assist with the preparation of sample materials for rollover at the end of each wave and check the accuracy of the rollover.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
  • Capacity to manage staff working on a high pressure project with peak periods of work that will involve very high levels of commitment, time and a need for strong team spirit and co-operation;
  • Understanding of effective sampling and interviewer placement procedures;
  • Proactive in problem identification, problem solving and solution implementation;
  • Desirably, an expert skill level on Confirmit Horizons sampling management [TS1];
  • Intermediate skill level on Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
