We are currently looking for a Sanctions Analyst to join our team in Belfast. Please note the successful candidate will be required to work US hours.

Responsibilities:
While the scope of each project may be different, your duties & responsibilities may include:

Qualifications:

  • A 2.1 degree in a Finance, Legal or STEM subject
  • Experience of working on investment banking projects, either directly for an investment bank, or working for a 3rd party providing consulting/outsourced services to an investment bank
  • The ideal candidate will have sanctions experience backgroud at a financial services firm, exchange, regulatory organization
  • OFAC experience is desirable
  • Confident communicating with management/stakeholders, producing reports and helping manage project lifecycles with relevant industry tooling
  • Strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with good relationship building and engagement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoin

Responsibilities:

The scope and nature of the projects on which you’ll work will vary however, examples of duties/responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple queues of account screening and real-time transaction screening alerts; exercise judgment and sanctions knowledge by reviewing internal data against reference data and recommending a disposition
  • Conducting open-source research and client outreach for alerts requiring additional information
  • Advising management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Maintaining accurate tracking of assignments to ensure appropriate deadlines are met
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline or improve current processes
  • Performing supplementary sanctions due diligence and research for complex escalations
  • The ideal candidate will have sanctions or anti-money laundering operations team experience at a financial services firm, exchange, regulatory organization
