Job Description

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS POSITION:

  • This position will ultimately provide support to manufacturing and services and assist with achieving the specific Quality Mondelez objectives of the organization. The role is expected to ensure that all sanitation and Pest Control Guidelines, procedures and practices are developed, documented, implemented, and reviewed in line with Mondelez quality Policies and statutory requirements for South Africa and exporting markets. The role will include capability building and influencing decisions and culture transformation of all levels of employees and leaders. Key role in driving effective PDCA cycles, CAPA system management and management review.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Applicants must have a Grade 12.
  • National Diploma in Quality management, Microbiology and Food Hygiene or manufacturing related fields.
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems. Sound Knowledge of FMCG environment.
  • In depth Knowledge of Sanitation and Pest Control Principles backed up with at least 3 years’ experience in similar positions.
  • Chocolate and confectionery experience will be advantageous.
  • ISO 9001:2015, FSSC 22000, SANS1841, PAS220 and OHSAS 18001 management systems knowledge and auditing

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • In line with the job purpose, key outputs of this job will entail the following:
  • Review and approve equipment and infrastructure cleaning methods and design.
  • Assess personal and food safety risks associated with sanitation and pest control programs.
  • Review and develop sanitation and pest control procedures.
  • Subject matter expert on Sanitation and pest control for site with great collaboration with corporate stakeholders for support in productivity and IL6S.
  • Service provider management and performance assessments.
  • Provide Technical support for new projects, minor and major changes.
  • Overall key player in influencing QCDMS agenda and continually enhance self-development.
  • Drive risk management and continuous products/process quality improvement activities
  • Problem solving on non-conformance to quality and food safety standards.
  • Ensure statutory / regulatory compliance, and compliance to Mondelez global quality and food safety standards.

  • Carry out the role accountabilities within the operating and process frameworks that apply to the company.
  • Work together with all your peers and customers. A key part of your performance reviews each year will be based on their input.
