SUMMARY

The Sanitation & Production Supervisor 3rd Shift is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the production team to achieve required production and quality standards in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. This position is 75% sanitation and 25% production focused. The Production Supervisor 3rd shift is also responsible for promoting and maintaining positive working relationships within the production team.

MINIMUM EDUCATION

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture or related discipline.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 2 to 3 years related work experience.
• Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with various industry accepted procedures, including HACCP, SPC, etc., and plant efficiency as it related to yield, lbs./birds, pmh, line speeds and automatic process equipment.
• Requires prior supervisory experience with proven track record demonstrating the ability to lead people and get results.
• Strong customer orientation.
• Must be able to organize multiple protocols/projects and complete on schedule.
• Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization; possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or Company business.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

When in a plant environment:

• Exposure to wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces
• Exposure to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
• Exposure to o noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
• May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
• May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.

• Develop and implement production and sanitation plans, schedules, and strategies to meet objectives.
• Monitor production processes to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently, and identifying areas for improvement.
• Coordinate and assign tasks to production and sanitation associates, ensuring all associates receive appropriate training to perform routine duties effectively.
• Maintain production and sanitation SWIs, SOPs, ensuring both are in place and followed.
• Uphold established policies and systems, update equipment, and follow up on recommendations.
• Manage associate time and attendance.
• Perform regular inspections.
• Ensure all areas of facility are properly cleaned and disinfected.
• Investigate sanitation issues.
• All other duties as assigned.
