Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer to join our team and contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ABAP programming, SAP module integration, and a solid understanding of SAP development best practices. This role involves working closely with functional teams to deliver customized SAP solutions that support business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms in SAP systems.
- Design and implement custom solutions based on business requirements, ensuring alignment with SAP best practices.
- Work with functional consultants to gather requirements and create technical specifications for SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD, or HCM.
- Perform unit testing and resolve issues identified in the development or integration phases.
- Ensure the integration of SAP systems with third-party applications and systems using IDocs, BAPIs, and web services.
- Monitor system performance and optimize ABAP programs to improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the SAP environment.
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and patches, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Maintain and support existing SAP applications by debugging and making enhancements as required.
- Document technical specifications, code changes, and other relevant system documentation for future reference.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP ABAP developments and incorporate them into the current projects.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong proficiency in ABAP programming, including experience with classical reports, ALV reports, SAP scripts, SmartForms, and Adobe forms.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., SAP FICO, MM, SD, HR) and their integration with ABAP.
- Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) in ABAP and custom development.
- Experience with SAP enhancement tools such as BADI, User Exits, and Enhancement Points.
- Knowledge of IDoc processing and integration of SAP with external systems.
- Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver Gateway, Fiori, or S/4HANA is a plus.
- Understanding of SAP Basis and transport management is beneficial.
- Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
