DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:-

• Relevant SAP module area certification is desirable.
• Degree Qualified in IT discipline or similar relevant subject.

Here at Hitachi Rail, we have a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced SAP Consultant – Snr Security lead, location is Hybrid or Remote with occasional travel to a Hitachi Rail office.

You will support the business through the day-to-day management of the SAP Platform applications together with any solution development under project work identified. This role operates in a fast paced environment with regular collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Provide 2nd/3rd line support for incidents reported to the service desk in line with SLA when not working directly on project related activities.
• Design & deliver technical/functional solutions against specifications and blueprints in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
• Complete unit and integration testing of developments in line with agreed processes ensuring completion within allocated timescales.
• Deliver regular release items (problems and requests) understanding business requirements and completing the design, build, testing and deployment of functional components.
• For small projects, report to the Security solution lead to aid delivery of the project scope of work.
• The role communicates internally with business users and externally with SAP.
• Support the acceptance and implementation of new functional solutions into the production environment ensuring relevant support documentation is available.
• Develop and deliver release notes and key user training for all new or enhanced application functionality.
• Complete detailed solution documentation for functional solutions.
• Provide technical expertise in systems security across the landscape.
• Keep abreast of advances of available technologies and best practice to identify and exploit new opportunities.
• Coordinate with the GCC / SOX manager, best practice and flexible authorisations
• Assist with SAP GRC / J-sox for business compliance.
• When required manage business relationships with BPO’s / Internal & External Audit partners
• Key decision maker to approve/reject changes in relation to SAP GRC Requirements
• Review and approve newly proposed compensating controls
• Be a key point of contact for SOD/SA/CP testing, including interaction with internal and external auditors.
• Explore potential improvements to systems and processes, presenting business cases where relevant
