Your mission
Are you an experienced SAP FPL controlling, planning & consolidation expert looking to make a significant impact? As the SAP Solution Architect Finance at BDR Thermea, you will play a crucial role in streamlining processes through an S/4 HANA roll-out program. Located in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, IT partners, and the BDR Group IT to design and implement optimized S/4 HANA processes. Working with agile methodology, you will drive innovation and deliver substantial performance improvements across the Group.

What you’ll do:

  • Analyze business requirements with Business Process Experts.
  • Design best practice processes to be used in the Kernel.
  • Manage third-party consultants to ensure solution delivery.
  • Configure and customize solutions.
  • Support the RFP process related to IT software implementation.
  • Innovate by analyzing IT software market trends.
  • Explore new capabilities of S/4 HANA and other finance solutions (BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud, Group reporting).
  • Provide day-to-day support to Key Users.
  • Conduct workshops with business stakeholders across multiple countries.
  • Deliver business process flowcharts and functional specifications.
  • Fine-tune Kernel configurations and localize them for specific countries/companies.
  • Coordinate IT resources and support bug resolution and change request implementations.
  • Manage relationships with other Group IT teams (technical, CRM COE, BI CoE).

  • Project Management: Manage communication calendars, stay organized, and drive projects forward, even when multiple stakeholders are involved.
  • Intranet Management: Keep intranet content updated with news articles, announcements, policies, and resources to keep employees informed and connected.

You largely recognize yourself in this:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance and/or IT (preferred).
  • At least 7 years of experience implementing SAP ECC6 or S/4 module controlling and SAP Analytics Cloud or Group Reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP FI.
  • Relevant industry experience highly desired.
  • Excellent relationship-building and decision-making skills.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multifunctional, multicultural environment.
  • Willingness to travel for project activities, with home office allowed 2-3 days a week.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Dutch.
