ABOUT THE JOB YOU’RE CONSIDERING

We are looking for a PI Consultant to join our thriving team! You will join a team of 13 other PI consultants and you will work closely with one of our prestigious public sector clients. This role benefits from hybrid working you will be required to come into the office on average 2-3 days per week. This could change as it’s dependent on business needs.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Mandatory skills include the following,

  • SAP PI/PO 7.3 and SAP ABAP R/3
  • PI Integration Hands on Development
  • Strong PI development skills using SOAP, REST APIs and OAS. Good knowledge about other adapters e.g. File, JDBC and IDOC

Desirable skills include the following,

  • PI Interface Design / Configuration
  • ABAP Proxy Development
  • PI Interface development of APIs.
  • User Defined Java Functions
  • Knowledge of SAP TRM, PSCD, CRM, FI and HR models
  • UNIX, Webmethods, Microsoft Office and SAP CTS+ would be useful

Responsibilities:

  • Integration development using SAP PI including use of ABAP proxies IDOC’s and RFC’s. Experience in designing a PI solution based on a functional requirement is essential.
  • Excellent hands on experience working on SOAP and REST APIs .
  • Carry out development in accordance with agreed requirements and development standards.
  • Creation of Unit Test documents and other technical documents. Liaison with the functional and test teams to resolve issues arising from the build and testing.
  • Lead the team and promptly escalate problems, issues and risks as necessary.
  • Completion of work allocated within agreed timescales, and to cost and quality criteria, providing progress reports on assigned work as required.
  • Management and control of problems and change within a given area of responsibility as requested by the Team Manager
  • Playing an active part in process improvement, demonstrating awareness and compliance with all relevant quality processes and procedures, and the completion of all specified quality records.
