JOB DESCRIPTION & SUMMARY
The SAP Solution Architect EM/FI (Engagement Management and Finance) is part of the Platform and Integrations Team. The aim of the Solution Architect is to secure a solid and sustainable S/4HANA Cloud solution as close to the standard functionality of the application and industry standards as possible. The Solution Architect is expected to have a holistic view (here: for all EM/FI related operations) but taking over as well the role of a functional and process expert with a more detailed view for the required EM/FI functionality. The Solution Architect keeps the overall picture of a solution and has a hands-on mindset that makes things move forward very fast - aligned with the product life cycle of SAP and BOS ecosystem. The Solution Architects keep an eye on future innovations that will bring additional value (e.g. RPA, ML, etc.) and evaluate their fit to the PwC solution and processes.
The Solution Architect EM/FI works closely together with other Solution Architects - within the SAP Product Team and even broader with Solution Architects of other BOS applications. In addition, the Solution Architect is responsible for supervising the design as well as the integration execution within his area of expertise – Engagement Management and Finance - owning the solution architecture specification. This implies also close contact with technology development team members and potential suppliers to ensure that the value planned will be delivered in the most optimal way.
JOB DESCRIPTION & SUMMARY
- Taking over the functional and technical ownership of EM/FI operations located in S/4HANA Cloud
- Define the guidelines, standards and solution architecture to ensure S/4HANA product-based decisions are aligned with the BOS enterprise’s future-state architecture vision
- Engage with Technology Leaders, CIP Consultants, Product Team Lead and Enterprise Architects - within SAP Product Team and across BOS ecosystem - to ensure alignment with the overall BOS enterprise architecture
- Deliver the integration of solutions for EM/FI operations and implement the integration strategy for cross-EM/FI purposes
- Identify the organisational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures or culture) and financial impact of the solution architecture and any upcoming changes (arising from SAP’s quarterly release updates or BOS ecosystem)
- Responsible for Functional Enhancements within their area of responsibility – EM/FI
- Functional support for technology regarding API management
- Project support for additional territory onboardings and roll-outs
- Advanced Testing Support incl. ticket handling (SNOW as defined in BPM; and SAP OSS Support),
- L3 Support within S/4HANA Cloud and for process spanning across multiple BOS applications supporting as well in x-BOS root-cause analysis
Responsibilities:
- The ideal Solution Architect consultant has over 5 years’ experience in implementing ERP solutions Engagement Management and Finance (Sales / Opportunity / Project Management) module, preferably in the professional services industry
- Experience and understanding of SAP S/4HANA Cloud specific compared to on-premise is essential
- Ideal is implementation experience with multi-tenant/public cloud
- Experience in software requirements engineering and design architecture
- Understanding of cloud solutions and API (SOAP) structures
- Oral and written communication skills
