SAS Engineer

We are on behalf of our client looking for a SAS Engineer for a project in Trondheim, Norway.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

• Bachelor or Master in Automation, Cybernetics, or Instrumentation.
• Minimum of 5 years of SAS engineering experience.
• Proficiency in specifying, integrating, and supporting process control and safety shutdown systems.
• Competent in developing system design documentation and performing IEC 61508/61511 analysis.
• Experience in procurement, installation, and maintenance of SAS-related equipment.
• Ability to translate process requirements and verify supplier deliverables.
• Strong understanding of input documentation from process, electrical, and safety disciplines.
• Good communicative skills in English (Norwegian an advantage) and team player
• Available for work in Norway - valid Work Permit!

• Participate as an SAS engineer in concept studies for the electrification of offshore installations (power from shore).
• Responsible for SAS system design.
• Develop preliminary SAS topologies for the project.
• Establish a SAS signal list to C study level.
• Participate in system design and safety reviews.
• Provide input to cause and effect and shutdown philosophies.
• Interface design with power management systems.
• Involve SAS system vendor for input to the study and contribute to the study report.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
