Hours: Full-time, 35 hours
Location: Head Office, Nottingham (hybrid working, 2-3 days a week onsite)
Salary: £60000 - £70000

At Nottingham Building Society we are proud to be a customer-driven financial institution dedicated to providing exceptional service and building lasting relationships with our members. We’re looking for a Savings Product & Proposition Lead to join the Society on a 12-month FTC to support our ongoing development and enhancement of products and propositions for savings customers.
You will report to our Chief Savings Officer who has responsibility for the overall proposition and performance of the savings business for the Society. You will lead the development and enhancement of savings products and propositions working with the pricing and analytics team and operations team to support delivery of savings growth and customer outcomes.
This role balances analytical and strategic thinking across our Savings proposition, ensuring we deliver great customer outcomes and requires the ability to build exceptional relationships and communicate effectively across levels. You’ll champion and embed best practice standards while driving continuous improvement and new ways of working. We welcome diverse perspectives and new thinking to help us build a stronger, more innovative, and modern Building Society.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing as a Savings Product & Proposition Lead at Nottingham Building Society: -

  • Design and deliver the product and propositions plan for Savings, assessing the plan on a quarterly basis to ensure we continue to meet member and society objectives, whilst benchmarking against our competitors.
  • Review and enhance the product procedures, controls and frameworks in relation to core deposit taking activities. You will have day to day ownership of the Product Governance and Policy Framework, ensuring the team adhere to this within the proposition and pricing recommendations.
  • Ownership for the approval of all product promotional material in line with Financial Promotions Framework, for all Savings products, campaigns and partnerships.
  • Identify and recommend solutions relating to product and propositions where there may be no precedent, influencing and seeking key stakeholders’ approval.
  • Lead, support and coach your team to promote continuous improvement and personal development. You will set a culture of effective people leadership to enable your team to thrive in delivering our purpose and embedding our strategic and behavioural drivers.
  • Lead activity in continuous analysis of the external environment and competitor activity is completed to thoroughly understand the external landscape.
  • Drive forward the MI and analytical capabilities of the team to deeply understand the different components of our new and existing savings proposition and product strategies.
