- Afternoon Shift - Monday to Thursday 4:00 pm - 2:30 am (+$4.00)
- Weekend Shift 10 hrs - Friday - Monday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (+$7.00)
- Weekend Shift 12 hrs - Friday - Sunday 3:00 pm - 3:00 am (+$7.00
Must be able to train on Day Shift for 2-3 weeks before moving to these shifts.
- Days - Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm
The Saw / Machine Operator / Flamecut Operator reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
Main Responsibilities
- Operation of CNC saws, brake, shear and/or flame cut machines.
- Read drawings
- Measure work pieces using fractional tape measure
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Meticulously organized and ability to keep a clean workspace
- Quick to learn new skills
- Strong attention to detail
Secondary Responsibilities
- Good communication with co-workers in a collaborative team environment
- Develop and maintain a regular cleaning schedule to ensure the machine shop is kept tidy and well organized upon completion of work assignments
- Attributes and Skills
- Crane operation
- Able to work autonomously and uses good decision-making practices
- Organizational and planning skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience with operation of CNC saws preferred
- Must be able to work efficiently and keep the workflow moving
- Understand and perform safe work practices
- Overhead crane training an asset
Physical Requirements
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs - fitness test required
- Standing on your feet for a long period of time
- Have good eye to hand coordination
- Be able to bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to wear personal protective gear most of the day
Shift Availability
- Days - Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Afternoon Shift - Monday to Thursday 4:00 pm - 2:30 am (+$4.00)
- Weekend Shift 10 hrs - Friday - Monday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (+$7.00)
- Weekend Shift 12 hrs - Friday - Sunday 3:00 pm - 3:00 am (+$7.00)
