Responsibilities:

A great opportunity has become available for a SCADA/EMS Engineer to contribute to the once in a lifetime energy transition by delivering a range of functions relating to managing and operating the GE e-Terra SCADA platforms, technologies and associated applications.
With a hybrid split (Office/WFH)), this role is based on Flinders Street, Melbourne and is part of the Energy Network Systems team.
THIS ROLE WILL DELIVER REAL OUTCOMES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Providing support, maintenance, development and continual improvement across AusNet’s GE e-Terra Advanced Energy Management Systems (AEMS) platforms, technologies, and related applications servicing electricity (transmission & distribution) and gas (distribution)
- System maintenance tasks as per standard protocols and procedures
- Incident and problem management including maintenance of system support processes, and prioritisation, triage and resolution of problems and incidents impacting the AEMS platform and associated technologies and applications
- Analysing service and component availability, reliability, maintainability and serviceability, monitoring performance and anticipating issues and problems
- Patch management including configuration and implementation of patches in accordance with protocols and procedures
- Assisting with designing, managing, testing, and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery protocols and processes
- Management of planned and unplanned changes in accordance with established change control procedures., including new or changed network elements (e.g. new database points)
- Actively seeks opportunities, new methods, trends, capabilities and products to improve performance of the AEMS
