Job Description

The Scaffold Designer will work with the Regional Director and will be responsible for following tasks:

  • Drafting of detailed 2d and 3d layout designs of industrial scaffolds, as well will support the regional team with technical proposals.
  • Preparation of basic calculations, drawings, and designs (2d and 3d) for access systems for submittal to clients and verify the structural integrity of scaffold.
  • Creation of drawing submittals using AutoCAD or Revit for projects following applicable design codes, OSHA regulations, local codes and company guidelines.
  • Preparation of material lists based on the design.
  • Performing “on-site visits” to compare design with “as-built” situation as well as location studies for design optimization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting & Design or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 5+ years’ experience within industrial engineering (relevant scaffolding experience will be considered as an advantage).
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of AutoCAD 2d & 3d environments and Revit (Knowledge in Navisworks and Tekla is an advantage).
  • Experience with laser scanning and points clouds would be advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural/civil drawings, layouts and industrial drawings and models.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work with different stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills (English in written/spoken form is a must)
