Description:

Are you a motivated, enthusiastic and ambitious Neonatal Nurse? Then we would love to hear from you. We are the Special Care Baby Unit based at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
Our Neonatal unit provides 2 high dependency cots and 8 special care cots, along side SCBU and a neonatal outreach service is also available. The unit currently provides short term intensive care, high dependency care and special care. Our team is highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals, who are passionate about delivering a provision of high quality service to babies and their families.
Please note that we can only consider applications from individuals with a live NMC registration or UK nursing students awaiting their PIN, as we are currently unable to support OSCE.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated neonatal nurse (RGN/RSCN/Child Branch) with post registration neonatal intensive care qualification) to join our friendly experienced team. You will have excellent clinical and communication skills. The successful candidate will lead/coordinate shifts, be able to work well independently and within the team.
They will also enjoy teaching and supporting junior staff as well as pre-registration student nurses.
This post involves a day/night rotation.

Assess the needs of patients within the clinical area, plan and implement individualised holistic nursing care.
To act as an advocate for patients wherever they are within the Trust and hospital setting and to advise colleagues on all matters concerning the nursing care of patients.
Play an active role in health promotion activities.
Ensure that Trust policies and procedures are complied with within the unit, informing the ward manager of matters, which affect the implementation of the agreed policies.
Ensure that standards recommended by professional bodies such as the NMC are adhered to and upheld within the unit. Comply with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and Scope of Professional practice.
