EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • APICS certification consideration
  • Minimum five (5) years professional experience in manufacturing operations and/or supply chain planning function
  • Experience in a team leadership role
  • Experience in dealing with a complex/ multi-site environment
  • Experience in dealing with an organization with multiple ERP/ MES systems
  • Experience planning and scheduling production within supply chain scheduling software platforms
  • Experience in window and door manufacturing/scheduling environment preferred

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • High degree of customer focus (internal/external) and demonstrated collaboration in a team environment
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and/or external associates
  • Fluent use of Microsoft Office applications (Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams, Outlook, Smartsheet, SharePoint, etc.)

    Additional Information

Responsibilities:

The Scheduling Team Leader role is a focused member of the deployment team for our new Manufacturing Execution System (MES) supporting our commitment to our customers through our end goal of “Give a Date, Keep a Date”. This role leads design, configuration and testing of site-specific production scheduling system processes by collaborating with local site teams and team members in adjacent business areas. The goal is to fulfill the tenets of the project by bringing improvements to legacy manufacturing practices and improving the customer experience through best practice and software enhancements.

  • Collaborate with local site teams to document the production planning and scheduling process and align to the design of program principles to ensure standardization of processes across manufacturing sites
  • Responsible for design and configuration of all site-specific scheduling aspects within the new MES system including production capacities, production manufacturing lines, product line assignments, floor routings, production job sorting and sequencing, and system production line cart usage
  • Responsible for configuration of initial factory calendar and delivery area setup as well as delivery date calculations to support accurate CTP dates for our customers
  • Develop and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and training materials necessary to support a seamless deployment and execution of our MES system
  • Participate in various smoke testing, SIT, and UAT activities including management of testers and scripts
  • Train local teams on system process, procedures, execution and maintenance to transfer ownership of daily operation to local scheduling teams
  • Follow IT established protocols during the design, development, and execution of project gates to ensure proper data integrity across the multiple staging and test environments
  • Act as a SME for MES system software in support of Project Genesis
  • Provide hypercare for ongoing troubleshooting, enhancements, and system support for production environments following immediate deployment at respective sites
  • Collaborate with software vendors to drive new and critical developmental improvement requests
  • Write SQL arguments and queries for data collection and reporting
