ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: THE ROLE IS BASED AT THE CLIFTON SITE HOWEVER TRAVEL TO THE CITY CAMPUS IS EXPECTED DURING THE WORKING WEEK.

An opportunity has arisen to join the School of Social Sciences academic administration team as a School Management Support Administrator. The School offers a diverse range of course provision and has active links with many external organisations. This role will primarily support the Head of Department of the Institute of Health and Allied Professions but will have other School wide duties too. It is based within the new modern fully equipped Health and Allied Professions Building on the Clifton campus.
For this post, proven experience of working in a busy, complex administrative environment is essential. The post involves working with a range of staff and a variety of University clients, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.
Highly developed organisational and administrative skills are essential to the role, as are excellent written and oral communication skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, be solution focused and able to prioritise their own workload. The role requires excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience of using this software within a busy office environment. The successful candidate will have proven ability to work proactively, using their own initiative to complete tasks. Excellent minute taking skills are also essential, as are good diary management skills.
The role requires an ability to respond positively and proactively to all aspects of change and to be effective in changing situations. The successful candidate will be committed to working in a flexible team-based environment.
