ABOUT US
We are the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences (ARES) at Nottingham Trent University, at our Brackenhurst campus. Our business is nature: specifically, the environment, animal health and welfare, ecology and conservation, and agriculture and food production.
Our approach is innovative and inclusive. We feel it makes us that little bit different. It’s our goal to have a positive impact on the planet by improving the well being of environments, animals, plants, and people. If you see that passion in yourself, we can be a new, powerful partner in your career.
For any informal queries about the role or the ARES team, please contact Aimee Pointon (School Management Support Coordinator) at aimee.pointon@ntu.ac.uk
Responsibilities:
There is now an exciting opportunity to join the School Management Support Team as a School Management Support Administrator, within the School of Animal Rural and Environmental Sciences (ARES), based at our Brackenhurst campus.
We are seeking a proactive individual with relevant experience of working in a busy administrative environment. You will support designated senior members of the School through comprehensive administrative and secretarial assistance. You will be able to work independently as well as part of a team and possess excellent organisation and communication skills. Extensive experience of using IT systems to improve processes, together with a proficient working knowledge of MS Office, especially Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel, is required. Excellent minute taking skills would also be advantageous.
This role provides the opportunity for a hybrid working environment, with a mixture of on-campus and working from home days.
You’ll have a positive, can-do attitude, and the drive to provide exceptional assistance to senior members of the School and the School Management Support Coordinator. You’ll also be confidential, able to prioritise tasks, and remain professional at all times.
For more details, please take a look at the role profile. We’ll still consider applications even if you don’t meet every single one of the requirements, so don’t be put off if you don’t match them perfectly.
