Grade G01 Point 4: £4,789.50 pro-rata inclusive of London weighting, based upon 0.1790 FTE
Location: The Gardens, West Harrow, HA1 4EL
Work Pattern: 7.50 hrs per week (11.30am – 1.00pm Monday to Friday), Term Time Only
Vaughan Primary School is a three form entry primary school based in Harrow. We seek a friendly person to join our lunchtime team of School Midday Supervisory Assistants. The right person will be a willing and able team player who has experience of working with children. Our team provide guidance and support to children in our school during their lunchtime break. Supervision of children on the school playground and in the dining hall requires someone who has ability to multi-task and who can be firm yet fair.
Our team of SMSAs support our Welfare Officers by dealing with minor ailments in the playground during lunchtime and in ensuring children who do require medical attention are referred through to the Welfare Room. We therefore seek a confident individual with a pragmatic approach.
We are constantly striving to improve our lunchtime play experiences for our pupils and therefore welcome applications from creative individuals who feel they can further enhance our busy lunchtimes.
About you:
As well as experience in working with pupils, candidates should possess the following qualities; team work, flexibility and patience. Candidates should demonstrate competency of knowledge of child development and the role of play and have an understanding of child protection issues.
