School Nurse Specialist Practitioner

This School Nurse post is a great opportunity for personal & professional development. You will develop excellent leadership skills in the role as you will be providing clinical leadership support and professional direction to Band 5 Community Staff Nurses and Band 4 Associate Nurses as they work to achieve competency in a range of skills. As a service we are offering a range of development opportunities at Band 7 as we explore different ways of working, as part of a review of the service, so there are great opportunities for career development.
To provide clinical leadership support and professional direction.
Be proactive in the identification of service development in consultation with Team Leads and Heads of Service and participate in developing, monitoring, and evaluating quality standards within the service.
To support the teams in the assessment, allocation, and response to requests for advice and support.
Maintain professional standards of record keeping and storage in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) guidelines, Data Protection Act and MFT policies and procedures.
Recognises the importance of accurate and timely record keeping and can maintain confidential records and information.
Keeps an accurate and up to date diary on EMIS and follows Trust policy regarding confidential information.
To liaise with teaching staff as appropriate to ensure an effective communication system.
