Responsibilities:
The Faculty of Health Education, Medicine and Social Care offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses including doctoral level studies. Our new School of Medicine was established in 2018, and offers a five-year undergraduate Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. We also offer a wide range of post graduate short courses and conferences. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research informed educational experience. We have received significant funding from the NIHR and NHS England to support the recruitment of Essex’s first Clinical Academic Trainees.
We are looking for a Clinical Academic Lead. This role will provide management and development of our clinical academic trainees and clinical academic training pathways. You will be required to work closely with our external partners as well as funders and regulators.
You will have excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills, a track record in research output and publications, and an extensive knowledge of postgraduate clinical academic training pathways in the United Kingdom.
