SCIB Banking & Corporate Finance is looking for an Analyst or Associate , based in our Amsterdam office.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Corporate & Investment banking at a top-tier international bank

EDUCATION

• Bachelor´s degree required (preferably master’s degree); strong academic track record and preferably in business administration, finance, accounting and/or economics

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholder and processes simultaneously
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset, pro-active and autonomous
• Team player who can interact effectively with all levels of hierarchy and product teams
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
• Languages: Fluency in English. Dutch and/or Spanish are a plus

As an Analyst/Associate in the Corporate Banking team in Amsterdam, you will:

• Play a key role in supporting senior bankers in managing relationships for global corporates headquartered in the Benelux region
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, prepare credit memoranda and assist with structuring complex financial solutions for clients and prospects across all products and geographies of Santander CIB
• Support in originating and executing transactions across Global Debt Financing (GDF) including Syndicated Loans, DCM, Structed Finance etc, Global Transaction Banking (GTB) including Trade & WC solutions, Export Finance, Cash Management etc, and Global Markets including Rates, FX etc.
• Take responsibility for delivering client presentations and supporting coverage or product related initiatives
• Performing financial and strategic business analysis on sectors, competitors and clients
• Preparing client business plans, monitoring performance in terms of client profitability and absolute revenue targets as well as internal portfolio management
• Pro-actively manage compliance and other non-financial risks
• Actively train and mentor more junior members of the team as well as take an active role in rolling intern recruitment
