ABOUT US
Ashley Park School is located in the stunning market town on the south bank of the Thames in the borough of Surrey. It forms part of the Greater London built up area and is served by a wide range of transport routes to school, making it easily accessible. Our new specialist school will cater for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs.
For over 16 years, Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.
Have knowledge and understanding of:
- Strategies that relate to the education and personal development of SEN pupils including effective behaviour management techniques and opportunities to praise and reward.
- Implementing a school’s vision, aims, priorities, targets, curriculum policies and action plans in relation to classroom practise.
- Statutory curriculum requirements and the requirements for assessment, recording and reporting of pupils’ attainment and progress.
- The characteristics of high-quality teaching and learning as well as strategies to improve and sustain high standards of teaching and learning leading to achievement for all pupils.
- The implications of the code of practice of special educational needs for teaching and learning
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF JOB
- To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Headteacher/ Senior Lead for curriculum and learning.
- To teach a range of skills and techniques as necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s Science curriculum.
- Support the development of the Science provision that has a whole school impact.
