CellaVision is now looking for a Scientific and Medical Affairs Manager to our headquarter in Lund!
The Scientific and Medical Affairs Manager is responsible for becoming a scientific and clinical expert on CellaVision’s existing product portfolios and its related clinical areas and competitors. With your previous expertise in biomedical science and research you are going to design and execute research and development projects together with KOLs around the world who utilize or are involved with research related to CellaVision’s products, participate in R&D activities focusing on new product ideas in collaboration with internal expertise in software and product development. You will provide scientific and medical support for development-stage and commercialized products including post-marketing studies, safety and surveillance, as well as supporting global marketing activities such as conference presentations and exhibitions. The Scientific and Medical Affairs Manager position is organizationally placed in the Scientific and Medical Affairs team of six and is part of the Global Marketing department. You will have approximately 30-60 international traveling days yearly.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced scientific or health related degree (e.g. M.D. or Ph.D.).
  • 5 years of experience within the field of medical science such as hematology, pathology or a closely related discipline.
  • Proven experience in presenting, designing and facilitating scientific studies at various activities such as board meetings, conferences and other meetings.
  • Good networking skills.
  • Strong scientific and medical expertise and demonstrated expertise in ability to synthesize and communicate medical information clearly.
  • Recent experience from work in a clinical or research laboratory.
  • Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor scientific and medical developments in the field of hematology, pathology or other medical areas related to digital microscopy.
  • Be CellaVision’s liaison to the medical and scientific community and be responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with worldwide key opinion leaders (KOL).
  • Investigate possible new product ideas and product lines and facilitate investigations related to these.
  • Together with a cross-disciplinary Scientific and Medical Affairs team develop and evaluate prototype applications related to new product ideas.
  • Manage, support and present scientific research regarding CellaVision’s products and prototypes together with external and internal experts.
  • Assist in planning for Expert Council (EC) meetings and expand the EC meetings to new geographical areas as EC Europe and EC Asia.
  • Support the Marketing and Product Management teams with well-defined specifications for new products.
  • Support the Devices and Software department in the development of new products.
  • Support our Product Managers in product related investigations.
  • Assist and educate the organization in hematopathology and related medical areas.
