Skills and Knowledge: What skills and knowledge are used to carry out job responsibilities and solve problems?

• Post-secondary education, B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree and a minimum of 4-6 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with instrumentation
• Experience in method development, sample handling and chain of custody
• Analytical problem solving skills and documentation skills; work on problem of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
• Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Interpersonal - team approach
• Organization and communication skills
• Extensive experience with computer program
