QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Diplôme de premier cycle en science des données, informatique, statistiques, mathématiques ou dans un domaine connexe (maîtrise ou doctorat préféré).
  • Plus de 10 ans d’expérience en science des données, avec une expérience avérée dans la conduite de projets de science des données.
  • Expertise en IA, apprentissage automatique, NLP, LLM et analyses avancées.
  • Maîtrise des langages de programmation tels que Python ou R, et expérience avec des bibliothèques de manipulation de données (par exemple, Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
  • Solides connaissances des technologies Big Data (par exemple, Databricks) et des plateformes cloud (par exemple, Azure).
  • Expérience de SQL et des outils de visualisation des données (par exemple, Power BI).
  • Excellentes compétences en résolution de problèmes, en analyse et en réflexion critique.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication, avec la capacité de transmettre des concepts complexes à des publics techniques et non techniques.
  • Bilingue (français et anglais) préféré.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Lead Data Scientist will spearhead our data science initiatives, driving innovation and implementing advanced AI solutions to solve complex business challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI techniques, along with strong leadership skills to mentor a dynamic team of data scientists.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading data science projects.
  • Expertise in AI, machine learning, NLP, LLM, and advanced analytics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
  • Strong knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Databricks) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bilingual (French and English) preferred.
    The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible.

  • Implement advanced statistical and machine learning techniques for predictive modeling and data mining.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and processing systems.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through data visualizations, reports, and presentations.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science.
  • Promote a data-driven culture within the organization.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists to ensure high-quality deliverables.
