REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology/Biomedical engineering, or other related field). Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Knowledge and experience with cell culture media and/or peptones/hydrolysates
  • Knowledge and experience with small scale cell culture techniques
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced research environment and deliver detailed results

Responsibilities:

  • Support Key Driver Identification (KDI) peptone/hydrolysate project teams
  • Create and use batch records to formulate powder and liquid pilot material
  • Complete approved study plans to assess physical and biological performance of the media and peptones
  • Handle inventories of chemicals and other supplies
  • Ensure pilot equipment and rooms are well maintained
  • Conduct experiments, analyze data, and suggest next experimental steps to the technical project leader
  • Identify areas for improvement and innovation for the KDI and Media Format programs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new methodologies and technologies
