Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Scientist I, Molecular Biology who can bring their expertise in molecular biology to contribute to the development of internal new product introductions (NPI). Joining forces with a dynamic and multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting scientific activities and ensuring the successful execution of projects. Your ability to adapt quickly and proactively drive progress will be instrumental in meeting project timelines and aligning with business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Development of qPCR, dPCR, and CE assays for new product introduction
  • Supporting routine microbiological culturing activities
  • Conducting experiments and analyzing data independently, with guidance from senior group members.
  • Documenting experiments and preparing procedures, protocols, and reports
  • Exercising independent judgment to determine appropriate action
  • Identifying and implementing changes to processes, procedures, or products
  • Providing training and guidance to interns, when necessary
  • Adhering to internal policies, procedures, and external quality standards
