Description:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Experience with primary, stem and/or immune cells
  • Isolation and purification of various primary blood cell types using manual and/or automated methods
  • Experienced with planning and execution of reagent-based transfection and electroporation based delivery experiments
  • CRISPR based assay development for both knock-out and knock-in optimization
  • Flow Cytometry experience (panel analysis and optimization)
  • Molecular biology techniques (primer and construct design, PCR, NGS, etc.)
  • Standard laboratory math calculations and solutions/media preparation
  • Experience in a biotechnology commercial environment and product development is highly preferred
  • Significant level of independence and strong teamwork

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • The ideal candidate will possess a PhD degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience, or a M.S. degree with 4-5 years of relevant experience preferably within Immunology and/or Cell Biology

Responsibilities:

  • Design, perform and troubleshoot cell transfection experiments using electroporation and other methods with various types of payloads
  • Isolate and maintain culture of multiple immune cells, stem cells and cancer cell models
  • Optimize protocols for genetic modification of various cell types
  • Setup and perform sophisticated flow cytometry assays with proper compensation
  • Maintain detailed and organized notebook and experiment write-ups
  • Deliver on goals according to defined plans and timelines
  • Apply Design of Experiment methodology to promptly plan experiments and analyze data
  • Directly interact with senior R&D leadership, product management and project management to develop and carry out project plans that support product development initiatives
  • Present data and findings to cross-functional teams of peers and managers
  • Prioritize workload across multiple projects
  • Effectively collaborate with team members and cross-functional
  • Work independently in a fast-paced project-based environment
