As a Scientist III, you will be an essential member of our Corporate Data Science team, collaborating with data scientists, data engineers, business analysts, and program/product managers. You will report to a senior member of the data science team and work closely with experts throughout the company to develop tailored targeting strategies using machine learning techniques. Your responsibilities will include:
- Applying your deep knowledge of machine learning to create novel targeting strategies and product recommendations.
- Collaborating with non-technical staff across the organization to craft effective solutions.
- Identifying, sanitizing, and combining data from various sources.
- Building and maintaining automation pipelines.
- Independently creating and deploying data science and machine learning solutions.
- Embracing continuous learning and thriving in a dynamic environment.
To excel in this position, you should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience of at least 3 years in data science, analytics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field. Alternatively, a graduate degree or equivalent experience of at least 1 year in the same fields is also considered acceptable. Moreover, the following qualifications are essential:
- Deep understanding of the scientific process and its application in industry.
- Working proficiency in industry-standard machine learning tools (e.g., sklearn, Keras, MLFlow) and deployment life cycle.
- Strong command of statistical topics, including distributions, hypothesis testing, and experiment design.
- Demonstrated proficiency in data storage and management solutions, such as Oracle, Postgres/Redshift, and S3, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with distributed computational frameworks; experience with Spark is preferred.
- Technical proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with R, C, C++, Java, or other languages is a plus.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, etc.
- Foundational understanding of sales and marketing operations, including key performance indicators.
