Looking for a proficient scientist to drive breakthrough innovation in our R&D department, to establish and optimize bioprocesses for enzyme production, and actively participating in cutting-edge projects focusing on animal nutrition and health. YOU BRING
- Education in biotechnology with experience in bioreactor cultivation of bacteria and yeasts and in-process control
- Experience with both upstream (microbial fermentation for biomass or recombinant protein production) and downstream processing (separation, filtration, polishing steps)
- Experience with lab-scale fermentation is a must, large-scale fermentation know-how and knowledge in bioprocess modelling would be a plus

Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize bioprocesses for microbial hosts for recombinant protein production and other microbial strains (e.g. probiotics)
- Design, perform, and supervise lab-scale bioreactor processes (upstream and downstream processing)
- Support process scale-up and transfer to production
- Scouting and implementation of new methods, techniques, and equipment
- Troubleshooting & problem solving, processing & interpretation of data, and documentation of results
- Maintenance and cultivation of a safe working environment
- Scientific knowledge exchange and teamwork
