We are looking for a new team member to help us evaluate, engineer and characterize production strains for particular enzyme classes and also for small molecules. YOU BRING

  • Education in biotechnology (MSc, PhD) with expertise in heterologous protein production in different microbial expression systems
  • Experience in the field of strain engineering and production clone screening
  • Sound knowledge of molecular biology techniques and enzyme characterization
  • Experience in metabolic engineering would be a plus
  • A curious approach to problem-solving, fueling innovation by seeking new solutions and perspectives
  • A spirit of initiative and drive for progress, contributing to our collective success as you are empowered to take ownership

Responsibilities:

  • Developing microbial hosts for recombinant production of enzymes and other functional molecules
  • Application and further development of molecular gene expression tools and clone screening systems
  • Engineering of established protein production hosts and exploration of new expression systems for overcoming production bottlenecks
  • Active involvement in product developments and close interaction with other research teams
  • Support of global product registrations by providing information to regulatory authorities
  • Scouting and implementation of new methods and equipment, processing and interpretation of data, and documentation of results
  • Maintenance and cultivation of a safe working environment
