Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Scrum Master will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Careers & Employability Squad and help them to provide a great service to the ANU community. The Scrum Master will work closely with the Squad, seamlessly engaging with diverse stakeholder groups, including other technical teams, Colleges, Service Divisions, Executives, vendors and external partners as required.
The Scrum Master is required to facilitate key Scrum Events, enabling the Squad to optimise delivery outcomes and contributions to the ANU strategic mission. They will have a solid understanding of and experience with applying modern delivery management methodologies and technologies, in particular Scrum and the Atlassian suite.

Key Duties:

  • Support the squad to deliver of key work packages from inception through to completion by guiding them in the relevant Agile principles and practices.
  • Contribute to encouraging an engaged and cohesive team that operates according to the ITS target cultural values, that understands core Agile concepts, and that practices these in alignment with the ITS ways of working.
  • Assist the Squad to improve their use of portfolio management and delivery tools to maintain and refine the product and sprint backlogs, ensuring accuracy for planning, prioritisation, quality assurance, and release purposes, including generation of relevant delivery metrics.
  • Work with the Product Owner and relevant change and communications experts to support the coordination of effective communication to inform and engage relevant stakeholders, in line with the Value Stream quarterly and sprint cadences, referring to frameworks and methodologies.
