The Scrum Master will serve one or more Scrum teams and protect them from any distractions and remove impediments that could prevent them from completing sprint goals. The Scrum Master will create an environment that is responsive to change, in which Scrum teams can be self-organising to deliver high quality product increments.
The Scrum Master will have significant Agile experience with a proven track record of delivering multiple products using Scrum or Kanban and exposure working as a Junior Scrum Master.
Working with the Agile Coach, the Scrum Master will educate Scrum teams in Agile and Scrum values and principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate one or more Scrum teams – setting up Scrum ceremonies and hosting them (Product Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective)
  • Ensure that each Scrum team adheres to the practices of Scrum and provide the best environment for each Scrum team to achieve success, including coaching on the Scrum framework
  • Create the right environment for Scrum team members to be open and honest in the Daily Scrum meeting and Sprint Retrospective
  • Ensure collaborative working amongst Scrum team members
  • Remove impediments raised in the Daily Scrum meeting to ensure progress
  • Work with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is in good order
  • Work with the Product Owner to ensure the product vision and roadmap is on track
  • Ensure that the Scrum team are using and updating JIRA™ and Confluence™ appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Work with the Agile Coaches, other Scrum Masters and Product Owners to improve the Scrum framework at SJP
