G2 Software Systems, Inc. (G2) is looking for a self-directed and motivated individual as a Systems Engineer for Digital Modular Radio testing task order in support of a DoD program. This position requires demonstrated experience leading complex teams related to Software Defined Radios, experience with DOD satellite communication community, and an understanding of the DOD Acquisition process. The ideal candidate will have five (5) or more years of DoD Satellite and/or Software Defined Radio experience. This position will perform a broad scope of radio and waveform support functions including:

• Working with external stakeholders (E.g. National Security Administration, Joint Interoperability Test Command) to acquire needed certifications for testing
• Working with manufacturers to resolve issues discovered during deployment and testing
• Coordinating with the supporting Program Offices for resources and scheduling of events and certifications.
• Other various tasks support stakeholders and allowed within the scope of work.

Proficient English with both written and verbal communication skills are necessary to participate in software design and generate written test plans and reports. An ideal candidate would be motivated to experiment with and design test environments to improve the overall laboratory evaluation process.

In addition to the skills mentioned above, having a few of the skills below is desirable:

• Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Project Management Level I or higher
• Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written forms at all levels of the organization and at similar levels outside the organization
• In-depth experience with Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) infrastructure and endpoints.

This position requires an individual to be a US citizen and either have, or be able to obtain, and retain a DoD clearance.
Location: This is a hybrid position. The workforce is required to report physically to the Client/G2 offices located in San Diego, CA once a week. Additional days at the office may be required from time to time as required to support the workload or client’s request.
The pay range for this position in California is $140,000/year to $170,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract wages, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. Base pay information is based on market location.
