- Three years experience in similar roles, specifically import
- High level of attention to detail, communication, organizational skills in organizing, planning, assigning and controlling, decision making
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure are the top attributes sea logistics Operational Care needs
- Fluent in English
Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE
The Sea Logistics Operational Care Team Expert is part of a team in the Operational Care Center responsible for coordinating transport activities.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creation and completion of shipment details in our internal data management system (e.g. carrier, vessel, item description, PO allocation)
- Coordination with customs agents, hauliers and carriers
- Creation of files for consolidation container (Master / Single)
- Handling shipments in alignment with shipping instructions included in SOP (if any) and taking into account national and international regulations, compliance, rate and routing information
- Transport document creation
- Invoicing
- Passive invoice acknowledgement
- Profit maximization through choice of suppliers
- Immediate report of problems, operation disputes or discrepancies to the direct operational report
- Monitor operational performance of carriers and other suppliers
- Escalation or creation of awareness if performance and commitments are not being delivered
- Initiation and resolution of any rate discrepancy
- Work with Customer Care teams on account implementation, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to operations
- Support to Customer Care teams in resolving complains
