Mae from Syntech Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for experienced Seamstresses to join an award-winning company working on innovative projects within the aerospace industry.
This role is perfect for those with a passion for precision and craftsmanship. With a competitive salary of up to £16 per hour, overtime rates at £22–£24 per hour, a yearly bonus of up to £1,000, and a £3,000 signing bonus paid throughout your first year, your talent will be truly appreciated and rewarded.

Your role: As a Seamstress, you’ll use your craftsmanship and technical expertise to craft precision components for aerospace applications. Your responsibilities include:

• Sewing with Precision: Assemble fabric and webbing components using industrial sewing machines, templates, and technical drawings.
• Hand Sewing Expertise: Produce impeccable finishes on various fabrics and designs.
• Pattern Cutting & Reading: Work with templates to prepare and cut materials with precision.
• Interpreting Technical Specs: Read and apply technical drawings and specifications.
• Quality Checks: Identify and resolve imperfections in materials or patterns.
• Labelling Components: Use ink stamps to mark fabric pieces accurately.
• Task Logging: Record and track work progress using SAP systems.

What we’re Looking for: We’re seeking skilled seamstresses with the following:

• Proficiency with Industrial Machines: Experience in a manufacturing or non-garment environment is a bonus.
• Hand Sewing Skills: Expertise in crafting with precision and attention to detail.
• Pattern Cutting Knowledge: Ability to read and cut patterns accurately.
• Technical Savvy: Capable of interpreting and working from technical drawings.
• Team-Oriented Mindset: Comfortable with repetitive tasks and contributing to a collaborative team.
