SEASONAL GUEST EXPERIENCE ASSOCIATE (CAMPGROUND ATTENDANT)
Location: Métis Crossing, Smoky Lake, AB
Closing Date: Until Suitable Candidates Found
Position Status: Seasonal (May – August), Full time
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Previous experience as a Campground Attendant
· Knowledge and adherence to safe working practices
· Knowledge of Alberta history and cultural diversity
· Knowledge of Alberta Métis

- Strong oral communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience working with diverse audiences, including varying cultural backgrounds and ages.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in schedules and assignments.
- Attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting while taking direction effectively.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work on-site at Métis Crossing in Smoky Lake.
- Clear Criminal Record Check.
- Clear Driver’s Abstract.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with customers to ensure satisfaction and a positive experience.
- Check campers in and out, maintaining clear communication with the front desk.
- Receive and direct guest reservations, guiding patrons to their assigned campsites.
- Verify payments by checking receipts and campground passes
- Ensure campground rules are respected and enforce them as necessary.
- Perform outdoor maintenance tasks, including lawn cutting, weed trimming, garbage collection, and recycling management.
- Safely and effectively operate equipment, such as tractors, lawnmowers, utility vehicles (side-by-sides), and chainsaws.
- Prepare campsites by cleaning, collecting garbage, sanitizing washrooms, porta potties, and shower facilities before new arrivals.
- Sell and deliver firewood to customers, monitor firewood inventory, and maintain an organized and clean woodshed.
- Sell and stage camp equipment rental kits, ensuring all rentals are accounted for during customer checkouts.
- Assist the Facilities Maintenance Department with tasks as required.
- Be available for day and evening shifts as needed.
- Report any issues or defective equipment to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) regulations at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
