Job Description: Manager, Financial Reporting
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client is seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting to lead a team of three professionals responsible for both internal and external financial reporting. This role supports the preparation of the Company’s external filings, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, Proxy Statements, and 8-Ks, and plays a crucial role in various accounting and reporting processes. The Manager, Financial Reporting reports directly to the Director of Financial Reporting and collaborates closely with senior finance leaders, including the Corporate Controller.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
5 years of experience in preparing and reviewing SEC filings and consolidated financial statements.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
Experience with Workiva software (preferred).
Experience in public accounting (preferred).
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply complex accounting principles.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of three financial reporting professionals, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Oversee the review and approval of team members’ time records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Provide recommendations for actions, including terminations when necessary.
Conduct performance reviews for team members and recommend compensation adjustments based on performance.
Direct the preparation and timely submission of all required filings and supplemental reporting, including earnings press releases.
Review the Company’s monthly consolidated financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Stockholders Equity, as prepared by the Financial Reporting team.
Review accounting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting workpapers for external audits.
Ensure compliance with all relevant reporting and filing requirements.
Conduct research on accounting regulations and SEC disclosure requirements; provide technical accounting consultation on US GAAP pronouncements and their practical implementation.
Oversee the accounting for stock-based compensation programs and equity transactions, including restricted stock awards, deferred compensation, dividend payments, equity issuances, and conversions.
Coordinate accounting matters with other departments and identify procedures to accommodate new business initiatives.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
