Description:

Robert Half Management Resources is seeking a contract SEC Reporting Manager to support our client’s finance and accounting team. This is a remote opportunity offering flexible work hours and part-time work between peak filing periods. We are specifically searching for candidates local to Salt Lake Metro area, but other highly qualified remote candidates will also be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and prepare quarterly and annual SEC reports, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and internal finance personnel during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Stay abreast of new and proposed accounting and reporting standards issued by the FASB and SEC.
  • Involved in the escalation and streamlining of the financial reporting process.
  • Ensure compliance with SEC rules and regulations as well as U.S. GAAP.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Regularly update accounting narratives and documentation.
  • Oversee and manage the accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Utilize financial reporting software such as Sage Intacct and Workiva for efficient operations.
  • Maintain knowledge and application of US GAAP in day-to-day duties.

Work Schedule: This contract role offers the flexibility of part-time hours between peak filing periods and full-time requirements during these periods.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Active CPA license is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of SEC reporting experience, preferably in a public company or public accounting firm.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and financial reporting software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Workiva and Active Disclosure highly desired
