Our Meallmore team at Parklands are ready to warmly welcome you as a Second Chef within their care home. Parklands is a spacious, purpose-built care home in Alloa, providing nursing care for the elderly and specialist services for those living with dementia.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements and food allergies is desirable
• Strong culinary skills and creativity to prepare appetizing meals.
• Proficiency in food safety practices
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant culinary qualifications are desirable
• Ability to add flare and influence the menu

• Assist the Head Chef to plan, prepare, and cook meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of our residents.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ensure Food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless food service and resident satisfaction.
• Stay updated with industry trends and introduce innovative ideas to enhance the dining experience.
• Adhere to food budget guidelines and assist in minimising waste.
