Job Title: Second Line Support Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. This is an on site position
Salary: £40,748 per annum

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essentials:

• Significant experience working within Windows endpoints (2nd line support / End User Computing)
• Have good stakeholder engagement and management experience
• Strong trouble shooting and problem resolution skills
• Experience within PowerShell and scripting

Desirables:

• Microsoft certifications (or equivalent) and/or Degree in a related discipline
• SQL Database Administration

• You will be leading the administration of End User Computing / 2nd line functions for several small environments
• Support with the administration of both
• Windows server and VM ware virtual environment as well as
• SAN / vSAN / NAS technologies
• Build and maintain physical and virtual servers and workstations
• Manage both patching and software updates via WSUS configuration and administration
• Perform System back-ups and gold builds for windows endpoints
• Perform monitoring and management of resources (disk space, event logs, backups etc.) including upgrades to existing hardware
• Knowledge of Networks (VLANS, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and Security technologies and toolsets
• Oversee the production of associated documentation
