Description:

Atimi is seeking an experienced backend software developer with a specialization in security to fill a position in Canada. Please note this is a fully remote position with EST working hours but we’re open to candidates from all provinces. Responsibilities

  • Proactive collaboration in the project team to help develop the product using your experience to help guide the team through the entire development lifecycle
  • Ensuring code quality and governance
  • Design, develop, and test software components and applications for a leading global provider of audiobooks
  • Collaborate on an agile engineering team, writing scalable and maintainable code and influencing team decisions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to envision, design, develop, test, and launch customer-centric software solutions
  • Utilize technology to tackle challenging problems and deliver high-quality code on schedule
  • Demonstrate proficiency in a wide range of data structures and algorithms, applying them effectively
  • Independently clarify technical requirements, assess development estimates, and employ diverse design approaches
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Foster continuous improvement in software quality, customer experience, and product maintainability
  • Mentor and lead developers, fostering curiosity and deep technical understanding
  • Ensuring engineers follow any patterns/designs set out and agreed with project leads
  • Planning, estimating, and contributing to the architecture, coding, and development
  • Refactoring and continuous improvements of the codebases
  • Ensuring that technical decisions and information are communicated thoroughly to the global team
  • Taking responsibility for releases and contributing to the ongoing support of live apps
  • Delivering fair outcomes for our customers, ensuring conduct maintains a high level of professionalism

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong Java development experience (4+ years)
  • Experience with AWS cloud environment (3+ years)
  • Experience with using and/or configuring CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience building scalable software services (e.g., serverless, microservices.)
  • Strong OOD skills. Knowledge of design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Strong database modelling skills; experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience working directly with clients and other project stakeholders to define and refine requirements.
  • Strong English skills (written and verbal.)
  • Experience building and delivering software systems to internal or external customers
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate highly complex and ambiguous situations
  • Experience with developing REST API, microservices, event-driven architecture

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with GDPR and CCPA compliance, reporting and handling DSARs
  • Experience with Kubeflow - Kale in service deployments
  • Experience with automated data attestation and scanning services
  • Experience with automated on-demand data deletion requests
  • Experience with other modern languages C++ and C#
  • Experience with DDD.
  • Experience with TDD.
